Sassy Shooters!
L-R: Samantha, Alyssa, Kaitlin, Kelly, Me
Graduation Divas. Despite everything, we have all made it through the endurance test known as the WKU Photojournalism major. It has not been an easy test to pass, but these 4 girls have carried me through on many occasions and I can only hope I have helped them 1/2 as much as they helped me! I love them.
For the record, Sassy Shooter is technically my nickname....just sayin'!

APJ- Capstone Project
Dinner for Two is what I am calling my final piece for APJ. I've spent
the entire semester shooting a video that I edited into 4:14. I hated to
make some of the cuts that I did, but in the end I knew I had to tell a
story and not just throw everything I like onto a time line in FCP! I
am not completely done editing, I still have some color correcting to
do, but I wanted to post a few screen shots from one of my fav sequences
in the piece. It might not be cohesive yet, but on Wednesday when I
post the final piece, I'm sure it will all make more sense!
I owe Sheila and Brian Lunty huge thanks for welcoming me into their home for the past 14 weeks. I hope someday I can have half the stories to tell those two do. Many days, I would find I'd go over to shoot and just want to hang out with them because I enjoyed their company so much. Those are the best projects to work on!

American Backbone V2.0
American Backbone was a concept I had back in the fall that started as a photo column. I thought this would translate well as a 90-120 second pkg for local news as well. For my final for news videography, I revisited local welders, Jesse Merideth and John Lewis. The pair have known each other since they were kids and have worked as welders for over 45 years combined along side each other. I took a few of my favorite screen shots until I can upload the actual final pkg on here.

Pride, Not Arrogance
We have this bulletin board at school that is a map of the U.S. and we all send in where we are doing internships or going after graduation or for the summer. I couldn't help but smile when I walked by and saw this, I had to share. I'm very proud to be the first name on the board with a full time job. It's not the easiest market to enter into and starting my first big girl job 12 days after graduation is a pretty amazing feeling. So yes, I am proud of the path I am leaping onto and the adventure that awaits me!
